Why International Business Seminars was Right for Me

Studying abroad can stir up a whole whirlwind of emotions for those who have never been abroad in general. While making the decision to study abroad can seem like a daunting task, IBS and their staff make the whole experience stress-free.

Why I Chose International Business Seminars

At the beginning of the process of finding programs best suited for me, the help of the UCCS faculty as well as peers who had studied abroad before helped narrow down the programs offered to students. After finding a handful of longer/shorter term options, IBS kept coming back as a highly accredited program. Amanda and Kayla (both IBS staff) were in constant contact with me after my initial application process, especially when it came down to figuring out the costs of the trip, college credits, etc.

Having already been abroad a number of times prior to my IBS trip, going back made all the sense in the world to me. Many of the countries that IBS would be traveling to were countries I had been in the past and were places I wanted to return to. The company visits IBS had on their itinerary focused on those working both domestically and globally, which complimented my International Business degree perfectly. Having the ability to talk face to face with managers and CEO’s about their international presence is something I never would have been able to do until years later down the road in my career.

Why IBS was the Right Choice

For those who are looking for a short-term study abroad program, IBS is truly a great organization to work with. For myself, a shorter program worked out perfectly due to my short amount of time left in college, as well as my job, home life, and most importantly my dog all of which I couldn’t leave for a long period of time. Being able to take a month away from work and home wasn’t too much of a hassle and was really an insignificant amount of time away from my normal life and responsibilities.

So, for those who are looking for a program that can give you a vast amount of experience and knowledge in a short amount of time, IBS is one of the best study abroad programs out there!
