Whether you work in marketing, finance, engineering, journalism, or another industry, it’s all related to business. Each business has its own way of exchanging its product or service. Those exchange processes not only vary across industries but also vary significantly in different countries. Customizing your own study abroad program will provide students with an opportunity to view first-hand international business practices and customs in a specific industry while gaining valuable experience for their resume.
International Business Seminars is the longest running, short-term study abroad program in the business world. The mission of IBS is to introduce students to international business practices and strategies used outside of the United States while providing insight into the cultural, social, and political environments. The goal is for students to use their research and experience to determine trends, opportunities, threats, problems, issues, and implications for businesses.
IBS works closely with faculty to customize a program based on your specific educational needs, such as marketing, supply chain management, engineering, finance, political science, or another field of study. IBS can design a specialized curriculum to meet every academic, cultural, and logistical need. IBS organizes programs in Australia and a variety of European, Asian, and South American countries including, Spain, Prague, Chile, Singapore, and more.
IBS handles all elements of the programs, including:
IBS typically plans programs for students from one to four weeks.
IBS is not a credit-granting institution. Any credit for the seminars goes through the student’s university, including paying tuition to their own university.
