Simple Curry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (such as carrots, potatoes, or green beans)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic, ginger, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, chili powder, and garam masala. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Add the salt, water, and vegetables. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the yogurt and cilantro. Serve hot.
