How to Make: Pizza

Ingredients:

  • Pre-made pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Tomato sauce
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to the highest temperature setting (usually around 500-550°F or 260-290°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up.
  2. Take the pre-made pizza dough out of the package and let it come to room temperature, following the package instructions.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a thin round shape, about 10-12 inches in diameter.
  4. Carefully transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper for easy transferring onto the hot pizza stone or baking sheet.
  5. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Arrange the fresh mozzarella cheese slices on top of the sauce.
  7. Tear or chop fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the pizza.
  8. Drizzle some extra-virgin olive oil over the pizza, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
