Recipe: Chai Tea

Chai tea is a delicious and popular beverage that is enjoyed all over the world. Chai tea originated in India, where it is known as masala chai. The word “chai” simply means “tea” in Hindi. Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon chai tea bags or 1 tablespoon loose leaf chai tea
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar or honey (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Ground cloves (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Add the chai tea bags or loose leaf tea and let steep for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaf tea.
  4. Add the milk, sugar or honey, and cinnamon and cloves (if desired) to the tea.
  5. Stir until the sugar or honey is dissolved.
  6. Serve hot or cold. Enjoy!
