In 1976 International Business Seminars provided an initial group of students with their first international business trip. Our foundation is to introduce students to various business practices and perspectives from around the world and provide a platform for them to reflect on and learn from their experiences. While we continue to offer outstanding business programs open to all students, we have expanded beyond a purely business focus by working with universities across the United States to provide a wide variety of academic and experiential offerings through custom-designed programs.

IBS understands how much work is required to create a solid, academically sound faculty-led program. From arranging international and local transportation, lodging, field trips, to finding local guest lectures and content experts to managing health and safety issues, it can all seem overwhelming. By partnering with IBS, you won’t have to go it alone! We will work with you every step of the way to make the process as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

Working closely with faculty and study abroad offices IBS will partner with you to develop outstanding international opportunities based on your specific educational requirements. IBS can design specialized programs to meet every academic, cultural, and logistical need. We organize programs in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas, with reach into the Middle East and Africa.

Customizing your own study abroad program will provide students with an opportunity to have first-hand international encounters while gaining valuable experience for their resumes.

Program Structure:

IBS handles all elements of the programs, including:

• Designing a program to reflect your curriculum
• International airfare
• Hotel arrangements
• Transportation in each city and between cities
• Company/industry/cultural visits/lectures/networking opportunities
• City tours and other cultural activities
• A detailed itinerary of the program

IBS typically plans programs for students from one to four weeks.

Academic Elements:

IBS is not a credit-granting institution. Any credit for the programs we develop in partnership with you goes through your university.
