International Business Seminars (IBS) is a small, tightly knit study abroad provider that has operated short-term study abroad programs since 1976. Providing some of the first business focused short-term study abroad programs, we have operated over 650 programs in now a variety of disciplines and have over 33,000 alumni.

We are currently looking to add an Operations Executive to the team immediately. This individual will be based in our Phoenix office and work closely with IBS Program Managers and Management. The successful candidate must be collaborative, collegial, and have strong time management and prioritiziation skills. They must be comfortable potentially traveling abroad in a support capacity.

Please note that this is an entry level position and highly administrative in nature. The individual will not be leading programs nor be client facing; however, this position is part of the program management pathway. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and want to develop a career with IBS.

This position is a full-time position based in Phoenix, AZ. This role focuses on a number of duties and responsibilities including:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2-4 years experience in events, logistics, tourism, or study abroad
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to think ahead, the ability to coordinate people and processes in a complex, multi-cultural context, and the initiative to execute quickly and accurately
  • Detail-orientated, dependable, and highly motivated to develop a career with IBS
  • Must have a high tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility to quickly respond to changing priorities
  • Passion for travel is a must!
  • Proficiency in MS Office

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities are highly administrative in nature and include, but are not limited to, the below:

  • Booking program excursions, activities, and group meals
  • Researching potential providers and hosts in foreign destinations
  • Working with Program Managers to create student and leader program materials
  • Maintaining knowledge of a program portfolio and helping the IBS Team delivery high-quality programs
  • Travelling, when requested, on international programs in a support capacity

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $42,000 – $45,000 (based on experience)
