Bennie Berzinski

My name is Benjamin Berzinski, however, I go by Bennie. I go to Montana State University in Bozeman Montana. I am majoring in Business Marketing and minoring in Chinese Studies and International Business. Over summer 2018 I participated in both IBS Summer Europe and IBS Summer China. It is almost impossible to choose a single favorite because every place we went to was spectacular. In the future, I plan to continue on with my travels and hopefully find a job that will suit my field of study. I highly advise everyone to look into this incredible opportunity.

Why did you choose your IBS seminar vs any other study abroad program?

I chose IBS Summer Europe/IBS Summer China over the other study abroad programs because there really aren’t any others that give you an up-close visit with massive companies from all over the world, while at the same time giving you the experience of living in these countries and being able to explore on your own time. The amount of places you go in the time span is unbeatable. Adding six credits on top of that… There’s no reason not to do it.

If you had 60 seconds to convince a friend to attend an IBS program, what would you say?

If I had 60 seconds to convince a friend to attend an IBS program, I would tell them that it was the best experience of my life, and not only do I now have friends from all over the country, but they can be used as connections, along with the extremely successful people I met abroad that are actually embedded into these major worldwide companies.

Did you develop or improve any qualities or skills during the seminar? If so, what were they and how did they develop/improve?

Throughout my time with the IBS programs, I developed and improved skills that I will use for the rest of my life. Being able to stand up in front of 40 strangers and tell them all about you and why you will be spending the next three weeks with them is not easy. Being able to walk straight up to an executive at a world headquarters and introduce yourself while leaving a good impression is a skill that not many have, and that I have definitely improved upon.
