Eric Horn

Eric Horn

My name is Eric Horn. I am currently studying at the University of Mississippi. My major will be in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship. The seminar I attended this winter break was IBS winter one.

Hear more directly from Eric:

Being able to travel to multiple cities and countries, what travel advice do you have for future students?

My advice for traveling to multiple countries is to pack light! I was definitely by far the lightest packer on our seminar and it was so easy to pack and maneuver around with such little luggage. Also, bring lots of immunity boosters because you don’t want to get sick and it can easily happen when traveling that much.

What did you learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

I learned a lot from my experience abroad. The main things I took away from my time on the seminar are that the world is so big and the opportunity for success is there. The world and the global economy are growing every day and new opportunities for businesses arise simultaneously. I can say with confidence that this seminar was worthwhile.

If you had 60 seconds to convince a friend to attend an IBS program, what would you say?

If I had 60 seconds to convince my friend to go on an IBS tour I would emphasize the opportunity available. Whether your 12 or 78, everybody wants to travel. With an IBS program, you get to travel, while having a five-star itinerary already made for you. This along with the fact that you’ll be able to earn credits towards your degree makes for a tremendous opportunity. I would also mention quickly that if you aren’t in the financial position to pursue this opportunity, IBS has scholarships available that really are simple and widely available.
